DJ JELLY
DJ Jelly (ATLANTA, GA) is an award winning, international DJ and co-founder of Big Oomp Records. Known as the “Stamp of Approval”, this Atlanta legend was instrumental in the breaking of many of the South’s most successful artists including; T.I, Outkast, DJ Unk and Young Jeezy. In 2023, Jelly was recognized as one of Hip-Hop’s most iconic mixtape DJ’s and muralized in Atlanta’s “Little 5 Points” neighborhood as part of Remy Martin’s “50th Anniversary of Hip-Hop” VSOP trilogy campaign. With millions of mixtapes sold, Jelly continues to serve as a mixshow DJ on one of the nation’s leading urban stations, Audacy’s, “v103”.
Passionately dedicated to artist development and label consulting, he has served as an instructor for Jam Master Jay’s, "Scratch DJ Academy" and as a curator for Red Bull’s Sound Select program. DJ Jelly has been recognized and featured in numerous publications from “The Source” to “XXL” and appeared on the genre’s most iconic television shows including; BET’s, “The Basement”, “Rap City” to MTV’s, “Direct Effect”, “My Super Sweet 16”, VH1’s “Dirty South Hip-Hop Awards” and documentary “ATL: The Untold Story of Atlanta’s Rise in the Rap Game.”

Known for his consistency and credibility, Montay became a key figure in Southern hip-hop’s mixtape culture by breaking records and supporting emerging artists across the South. As part of the Oomp Camp movement, he played an integral role in helping elevate the label’s sound, visibility, and street presence. With years of experience in both the streets and the industry, Montay continues to bridge cultural authenticity with modern platforms.

MC ASSAULT
MC Assault (ATLANTA, GA) is a foundational figure in Atlanta hip-hop and a pioneer of the city’s early sound with Big Oomp Records. Known for helping build the mixtape movement from the ground up, Assault played a key role in shaping Southern hip-hop alongside fellow innovators including DJ Jelly. Working closely with his longtime partner Starvin Marvin, he helped develop the Southern-style DJing and mashup techniques that defined Atlanta’s rise.
Through mixtapes, live events, and grassroots promotion, MC Assault contributed to creating a blueprint that would influence generations of DJs and artists. Deeply rooted in the culture, his work helped establish Atlanta as a dominant force in hip-hop. MC Assault continues to be respected for his legacy, innovation, and lasting impact on the Southern music scene.
